When a manufacturer designs an engine, they don’t optimize the software for maximum performance. Instead, they create a “one-size-fits-all” map to account for poor fuel quality, extreme climates, and infrequent servicing in different countries.

An Engine Control Unit (ECU) is the brain of your car. By connecting our advanced equipment to your vehicle’s OBD port (or bench-tuning the ECU directly), we read the factory data and adjust parameters such as:

1. How long does a remap take?
Most Stage 1 remaps take between 1 to 2.5 hours depending on the vehicle and ECU security type.
2. Is it safe for my engine?
Yes. We always stay within the manufacturer’s mechanical tolerances and perform a diagnostic scan before tuning to make sure your vehicle is in good health.
3. Will a remap affect my MOT?
A Stage 1 remap is invisible to the standard MOT emissions test. However, hardware modifications carry different legal implications. We always advise on the best legal solutions.
