These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Summit Tuning through our website, contact forms, telephone enquiries, social media communication, and in-person bookings.
Summit Tuning provides ECU remapping, vehicle diagnostics, performance tuning, and related automotive services within the United Kingdom.
By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or booking a service with Summit Tuning, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Scope Of Services
Summit Tuning provides professional automotive services including ECU remapping, diagnostics, gearbox tuning (where supported), and optional performance features. All services are dependent on the compatibility of the specific vehicle, ECU type, software version, and overall mechanical condition of the vehicle.
3. Vehicle Condition & Customer Responsibility
By booking a service with Summit Tuning, the customer confirms that the vehicle is in suitable mechanical condition unless otherwise disclosed prior to the service. The customer agrees that all known faults, warning lights, or performance issues have been declared prior to work commencing.
4. Mechanical Component Liability
Summit Tuning accepts no liability for failure of mechanical or electrical parts including engines, turbochargers, injectors, clutches, gearboxes, fuel systems, or any other serviceable component.
5. ECU Remapping & Third-Party Software
In some cases, ECU calibration files may be supplied by professional third-party software developers. Summit Tuning acts as the installer and service provider and cannot accept liability for defects originating within externally supplied software.
6. Performance Claims
Any advertised or quoted performance gains are estimates only. Actual improvements may vary depending on vehicle condition, mileage, fuel quality, and driving style.
7. Warranty & Manufacturer Coverage
ECU remapping may affect or void a manufacturer’s warranty. Summit Tuning accepts no responsibility for warranty implications. Customers are advised to consult their manufacturer before booking.
8. Emissions & Legal Compliance
Modifications affecting emissions control systems including DPF, EGR, and AdBlue are supplied for off-road, track, or motorsport use only. The vehicle owner remains solely responsible for ensuring compliance with UK Road Vehicles Regulations.
9. Refund Policy
If a customer is dissatisfied with the results of a remap service, Summit Tuning may offer to return the vehicle to its original stock software within 30 days. Once original software is reinstalled, a refund may be issued excluding labour costs.
10. Payments & Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability. Prices will be confirmed prior to work commencing and payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
